Biden Claims It's 'Simply Not True' That He's Holding Back US Energy Production

President Joe Biden claimed this week that his administration and its war on the American energy sector isn’t having a negative impact on domestic energy production – even as the cost of gas skyrockets to historic highs.

"It's simply not true that my administration or policies are holding back domestic energy production. That’s simply not true,” Biden claimed.

I’m not sure how Pinnochio here is evaluating his facts, but what is “simply true” is that Biden, on his very first day in office, killed the Keystone XL Pipeline that would have connected Canadian and some U.S. oil to refineries in the United States, further cementing American energy independence from other nations like Russia and Saudi Arabia and helping drive down gas prices domestically. (MRCTV recently produced a phenomenal mini-documentary detailing how that move devastated U.S. towns throughout the North- and Midwest – check it out here.)

What’s also true is that the Biden administration is also seeking to raise fees on existing leases for companies to drill on federal land, and has also put a moratorium on all new leases while environmentalists go back to the drawing board to calculate the “climate cost” of fossil fuels.

It's also true the White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki's claim that some 9,000 oil-drilling leases are just sitting around unused is openly deceptive, if not patently false.

But, of course, none of this really matters - as Pete Buttigieg says, all your gas problems will be solved if you just buy an electric car!
