Al Sharpton's Daughter Sues NYC for $5 Million After 'Falling' in the Street

Dominique Sharpton, daughter of the beloved Al Sharpton, is performing her best citywide shakedown as she is suing New York City for $5 million. Her reason appears absolutely ludicrous.

The damsel is distressing herself because she had an alleged moment of clumsiness, supposedly falling while crossing the street and spraining her ankle. According to her lawsuit, she says that she was “severely injured, bruised and wounded” by her graceless spill from last year. Children falling off of their bikes are likely injured worse than she was.

Still, there she was, hamming it up, pictured wearing a walking boot and advertising her tumble on Instagram. Despite all of her suffering and the fears of permanent physical injury, she seemed well enough to wear high heels and climb ladders to decorate Christmas trees. High heels are apparently difficult enough to wear while healthy.

Her most recent snafu regarding the misadventure involves Ms. Sharpton posting a photo of herself on top of a mountain in Bali, an Indonesian Island. She states directly in the photo that they did, in fact, hike up the mountain. Wouldn’t you say that that is a rather athletic feat for someone suffering a $5 million injury?

Still, her legal team is undeterred, as they said in their April 29 suit: “She still suffers and will continue to suffer for some time physical pain and bodily injuries.” Her lawyer, John Elefterakis, has said, “Ms. Sharpton did sustain multiple ligament and tendon tears in her ankle” and that, despite her mountain-hiking achievements, she “has not returned to her pre-accident form.”

The photo may as well have tied a bow around the frame and given itself as a gift to the legal defense team. Her boasting will expectedly put a lethal breach into her sinking ship of lawsuit.
