The president of the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) is sounding the alarm about it, the president of the Center for Sportfishing Policy (CSP) is speaking out against it, and so are many, many Americans who find the proposal morally offensive, constitutionally unsound, and a threat to free trade and jobs.     It’s the Department of Commerce’s (under the auspices of the…

In a nation in which people paying attention noticed just a few weeks into the absurd “Operation Warp Speed” that the feds not only had no constitutional role “fighting” their mislabeled “pandemic” but also that the feds were incentivizing medical centers to inflate the “deaths” attributed to COVID-19, does it come as any surprise that the government also has been revealed to have manipulated…

Finally, some GOP-ers in D.C. are waking up to the problem of armed bureaucracies – or making it look like they’re doing so.   What’s unreal is, they tell us, real (i.e., catastrophic anthropogenic climate change). What’s involuntary is, they tell us, “voluntary” (i.e., taxation). What’s up is, they tell us, “down” (i.e. prices, year-to-year). Author and freedom-fighter Harry Browne offered liberty-backing aphorisms like punches before he passed away in 2006, and one of his most famous is: “The government is good at one thing. It knows how to break your legs, and then hand you a crutch and say, 'See if it weren't for the government, you wouldn't be able to walk.” Landlords and those searching for affordable housing in New York (as…

Imagine living in a neighborhood run by the mob. Imagine that the illegitimate “rulers” already have claimed the power to search you at certain locations where you might want to do business, that they spy on you, and they make YOU pay for it, claiming it’s “for your protection.” Now, imagine that same mafia telling you that they are going to replace all your door locks with locks of their…

And it seems as if certain California politicians are…
