Sure it only came out on Tuesday, but if you haven’t yet watched the interview Tucker Carlson did with New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, I’d highly recommend it. It was fascinating in many ways.
Perhaps the most interesting part of the two-hour and 13 minute conversation that can be seen on YouTube and X, as well as tuckercarlson.com, was during the last chapter, which was titled “Rodgers’ awakening to government lies.”
In it, Carlson asked Rodgers if he thinks the American people could handle if government was completely transparent and informed the public of everything, past and present.
Rodgers’ answer was well thought out and pretty decently articulated.
“What do you think would happen if we actually knew the truth about everything?” Carlson asked.
“I don’t think that’s the worst thing. If you’re making decisions based on — ‘What’s the worst that could happen?’ in this case — I think there’d actually be a ton of people connecting and finding common ground, because there’d be a common enemy. You know, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Right? And, I think it’d be fascinating to watch the structures we put so much trust in just crumble. And I think a lot of that needs to happen, whether that’s in one disclosure, one fell swoop, or over the years.”
Hear, hear! Now, I’m not saying we shouldn’t have government at all. We need fire departments, police, paved roads, sewer systems, et cetera. But, the government is so bloated that it’s actually difficult to get fired from a position for simply incompetence.
Just look at…well, anything that’s run by the government. Anything run by the government is run at the speed of stupid, and that’s not a joke. That’s reality.
On top of all of that, they’re sneaky and duplicitous. Trust me. I live in the D.C. area and I wouldn’t trust these people to spit on me if I was on fire.
So, while you might just discount Rodgers as just another football meathead — don’t. He’s well-read, he does his research and he has the resources and wherewithal to know that he doesn’t know everything.
