Whoops, Applause as House Judiciary Committee Approves Dream Act

To whoops of delight, the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday night voted to advance legislation to protect immigrants who arrived in the U.S. without legal permission as minors (“Dreamers”) as well as immigrants with “temporary protected status” or “deferred enforced departure” status.
