According to WALA, Sgt. Kerstan Tatro was injured after pulling over a driver for a speeding violation, and one of the those who stopped out to help him turned out to be his own daughter.

According to Gulf Breeze, Fla. Chief of Police Robert Randle, Tatro noticed a car driving erratically near the south end of the Pensacola Bay Bridge.

When the officer asked the driver to step out of the car, the suspect started the vehicle. Tatro reached into the window in an attempt to grab the keys out of the ignition. The driver then accelerated with the officer still partway in the window. She carried him a short distance and ran him over when he fell from the vehicle’s side.

Among those that stopped to help the officer was his daughter, who as the dashcam video shows, was distraught to see her father injured.

Tatro suffered a broken arm and other non-life threatening injuries.
