ALAN TACHER: Edwin, listen, I have another question. This morning, a disturbing report emerged that the government had known since October that a pandemic like this could happen, and that they were not ready. What else does this report show?
EDWIN PITTI: So Alan. And this is very worrisome because since last October, their Department of Health performed a study, usually the federal government does it, to make sure they were prepared to deal with any problems.
They created a pandemic, a pandemic scenario, to see if the United States could confront it, and they discovered that they did not have the funding, that there was no coordination between federal agencies. But the most troubling thing is that the White House knew about it and the way President Trump reacted was in fact by closing the crisis management office at the White House.
