Twitter Rep Asked Why Trump’s Tweet Was Restricted, But Iranian Ayatollah’s Aren’t

Asked about tweets by the Iranian supreme leader “who has literally called for the genocide of Israel,” a Twitter representative told an Israeli Knesset panel Wednesday that “comments on political issues” and “foreign policy saber-rattling” do not generally violate Twitter’s rules. But President Trump’s “when the looting starts, the shooting starts” tweet was restricted because it could have inspired harm.
