Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), a close ally of President Trump who has been vocally critical of his recent troop redeployment decisions in Syria, hinted Sunday that the U.S. may keep a troop presence in that country’s east, to “make sure ISIS does not come back” and prevent oilfields currently controlled by the Kurds from “falling into Iranian hands.”
