Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick on Thursday defended Texas’ proposed new voting law Senate Bill 7, which cleared the Texas House on Friday, saying that a majority of Texas voters want voter ID and signature verification on mail-in ballots, and pointing out that local businesses are not complaining about it – only companies from outside the state.
