That request comes from Democratic Congressman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who is asking the governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo, to give the money to workers who are facing financial difficulties. Maria Vargas-Pion, tell us about this initiative backed by a hunger strike, by the way. Go ahead.
MARIA VARGAS-PION: Good afternoon Felicidad. The workers are staging a hunger strike to ask for the creation of a financial assistance fund (with which) to help undocumented people. They're basically demanding that Gov. Andrew Cuomo to set up a fund to help these undocumented people who, as we know, they haven't, they’ve not received assistance from the federal government. Specifically, they´re calling for a tax on millionaires in order to raise at least $5 million to help undocumented people, who as we said before, work here and pay taxes and the federal government does not help them.
