TUCSON -- Rowdy students take over a big Tucson school board meeting in protest. The governing board of the Tucson Unified School District was supposed to consider a plan that would make a Mexican-American studies class an elective, rather than a required class, like it is now. A state law passed in December basically discouraged the classes, saying they segregate students. And this group of students wanted no part of it.
