On Sunday, CNN’s Brian Stelter affirmatively quoted from President-elect Biden’s victory speech (“It’s time to put away the harsh rhetoric, lower the temperature, see each other again, listen to each other again”), asking: “Is it naive to think that cooler heads will really prevail?”

Yet, for four years Stelter has overseen a CNN program that showed no respect for President Trump. Guests and the host of Reliable Sources regularly tried to discredit Trump with very polarizing and harsh rhetoric.

A representative sampling of Stelter’s attacks on President Trump’s fitness and very humanity over the past four years. Stelter has accused Trump of destroying democracy, of “creeping authoritarianism,” moving the nation “toward autocracy,” committing “lying and deceit” and asked if Trump is running “a criminal presidency?” He interviewed psychiatrists to assess Trump’s “mental stability” and on another day wondered: “Is he suffering from some kind of illness? Is he fit for office? And if he’s unfit, then what?”
