State Dep’t Says US Navy Move to Yemeni Waters Not a Message to Iran

State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf said Tuesday that expanding a U.S. Navy presence in waters off Yemen was not intended to send a message warning the Iranians not to send weapons to their Houthi allies, and that the U.S. vessels “are not there to intercept Iranian ships.”
