It didn’t take long for MRC’s Rich Noyes’ prediction regarding the anti-GOP narrative the liberal media would be pushing to come true. Sunday morning on MSNBC’s PoliticsNation host, and riot inciter, Al Sharpton condemned the 2016 GOP platform, “the RNC platform is probably the most conservative one that we have ever seen.” One of the biggest problems with Sharpton’s generalization of the platform is that it’s very similar to previous platforms.

It rejects limits on AR-15 rifles. It calls for a border wall and deportations. It condemns abortion— Abortions no exceptions and it disapproves of same sex marriages,” Sharpton ranted. The assertion put forward is that it’s the most conservative platform ever, but protecting the Second Amendment, the sanctity of life, and traditional marriage have been Republican positions for a long time. In addition, federal funding for a border fence has been a plank in the platform in the past.

Sharpton’s guest, Republican Strategist Susan Del Percio agreed with him stating, “My guess is that's what Donald Trump wanted to see. But mush like his choice of Mike Pence, Governor Pence, he wanted to do something to be more inclusive.” Sharpton cut her off to clarify her use of the word inclusive, “Inclusive of the far right.

Basically inclusive of the conservatives that he didn't have on board or still doesn't have on board. He's hoping that will solidify the Republican base,” Del Percio concluded.

MSNBC seems to have been the first to rush to bashing the GOP ahead of the convention. So, Noyes’ warning about convention reporting bears repeating, “So, if you watch one of the liberal networks this week and think you're hearing an echo of previous slams of the GOP — you probably are.”
