Sen. Specter: Kagan Recusing from Cases She Took ‘Formal Position’ On as Solicitor General is ‘Appropriate Position to Take’

Sen. Arlen Specter (D-Penn.), a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, told CNSNews.com that Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan recusing herself from any case she took a “formal position” on as solicitor general would be an “appropriate position to take” under the applicable federal law.
