MRCTV's Dan Joseph encountered Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT) at a Capitol Hill rally in support of a Violence Against Woman Act (VAWA) reauthorization organized by The National Task Force to End Sexual and Domestic Violence Against Women.

Joseph asked the Senator to explain the reasoning behind the opposition of this bill in the house to which Leahy responds "they don't give a decent reason." When asked if the bill would apply to couples of two male partners, Leahy answers "it would apply to domestic violence."

The reauthorization of VAWA would cover services provided to men who are the victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

MRCTV's Kathleen Burch caught the interaction on camera.
