The Supreme Court just released today’s orders list, and it does not include any cases on challenges to the Defense of Marriage Act or California’s Proposition 8. NBC News Legal Correspondant Pete Williams stated that this doesn’t mean that they will not hear any of the cases, and that it is possible the court could decide either to take up or punt on the cases on Monday.
However, there are indications that the Court may punt on these cases. Williams indicated that the court would probably only announce cases they were going to take today and any decisions regarding which cases the court wouldn't take would come Monday.
