Scarborough, Panel Trash 'Robotic' Evangelicals For Supporting Trump

During Morning Joe Wednesday, the panel sat down with New York Times contributing opinion writer Pete Wehner, author of a new book called "The Death of Politics: How to Heal Our Fractured Republic After Trump." The conversation focused on evangelicals' support for President Trump. Host Joe Scarborough trashed evangelicals for their "robotic mindset following, where everything they grew up reading in the gospels now does not apply to their life since a guy named Donald Trump got into politics." Wehner mocked the idea he claimed many evangelicals subscribe to, that "if a Democrat wins the White House, if Democrats win control of Congress, that the country they love will be lost, the faith will be destroyed, and that is creating a lot of very, very dangerous sensibilities and actions."
