Upset that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) vetoed $35 million for the Tampa Bay Rays to build a practice facility after the baseball team sent a tweet in favor of gun control and announcing a $50,000 donation to a left-wing anti-gun group, MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough saw “an authoritarian streak here.”
On Monday’s Morning Joe, Scarborough went on a rant denouncing DeSantis for “punishing a public enterprise because of their political views.” He declared of the likely 2024 presidential contender: “It’s just craziness. This is not conservative. This is authoritarian. It’s plain and simple and conservatives know that.”
