With ABC still struggling to find a conservative woman to take over for the fierce Meghan McCain on The View, Sara Haines seemed to be uninterested in that search as she told ABC chief anchor George Stephanopoulos on Wednesday’s Good Morning America that her “dream” new co-host would be two-time failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
After some questions to promote the new season of Haines’ game show, The Chase, the former Clinton lackey pivoted to talking about The View. “Right now, there’s still an open seat on the co-host panel. What are your dream co-hosts,” Stephanopoulos wondered.
Without missing a beat, Haines declared “I would love for Hillary Clinton to sit in.” “I know she would never come permanently,” she admitted. Stephanopoulos seemed relieved she came to that realization on her on own, scoffing “I was going to say, do you think she'd do it?”
