On Wednesday's Full Frontal show, liberal comedienne Samantha Bee was seen fawning over Senator Elizabeth Warren as the TBS host was seen in a pre-recorded interview speaking with the former Democratic presidential candidate. Bee oozed: "I wanted desperately to vote for you, and you dropped out of the race, and it felt like the end of the world."

Bee went on to suggest Warren lost because she is a woman, and the two joked about not having to be around Senator Ted Cruz as members of Congress self-isolate during the pandemic.

Bee set up the interview with clips of President Trump with the TBS host complaining that his press briefings "are stressing me out." She then read from one of Trump's past tweets when he was criticizing President Barack Obama as if she were applying it to President Trump: "And like a wise man once said: 'It's almost like the United States has no President -- we're a rudderless ship heading for a major disaster.'"

Bee then referred to Senator Warren as "my President" as she set up the interview: "So, in search of calming and meaningful leadership, I called my President -- Elizabeth Warren -- and she answered."

The liberal host was then seen posing:

BEE: I wanted desperately to vote for you, and you dropped out of the race, and it felt like the end of the world. And now it feels like the world is, like, actually ending. If you were the President right now, what would you say to the American people?

As Warren spoke hypothetically about what she would say about the pandemic if she were President now, graphics that made it look like she was speaking from behind a presidential podium were displayed in front of her.

The two then joked about members of Congress "self-isolating" over the pandemic having the "point of light" of not having to be around Senator Cruz:

BEE (speaking to Warren): Are you able to at least take comfort in the fact that self-isolating reduces the risk of having to have a conversation with Ted Cruz?

SENATOR WARREN: You remember Ted Cruz was one of the first to go into quarantine, and it did not make things worse in the Senate.

BEE: You know, it's always important to find brightness where you can. You just look for those little points

SENATOR WARREN: Little points of light.

Below is a transcript of relevant portions of the Wednesday, April 15, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee on TBS:

SAMANTHA BEE: Trump's press conferences are stressing me out.

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP CLIP #1: There's going to be a lot of death.

PRESIDENT TRUMP CLIP #2: I think we've done a great job.

BEE (displaying a past tweet of Donald Trump criticizing President Barack Obama): And like a wise man once said: "It's almost like the United States has no President -- we're a rudderless ship heading for a major disaster." So, in search of calming and meaningful leadership, I called my President -- Elizabeth Warren -- and she answered.

BEE (speaking to Warren): I wanted desperately to vote for you, and you dropped out of the race, and it felt like the end of the world. And now it feels like the world is, like, actually ending. If you were the President right now, what would you say to the American people?

SENATOR ELIZABETH WARREN (D-MA): It's hard right now, but, when we work together, we can make this better. My job, as leader, is to do the long-term planning -- to bring in the experts and people who have real organization skills so that we have good ideas and we're making them happen. But everybody can help. You help when you keep yourself safe and healthy. You help when you take care of America and take care of yourself.

BEE: Now, which one of your son-in-laws is in charge of the pandemic response and also the Middle East peace process?

BEE: That's right. She had a corona plan back in January, but people were too busy telling her a woman couldn't be President to listen.

(…)

BEE (speaking to Warren): I know that you dropped out of the race, but is there a way that you could drop back in? It's just a thought I had.

SENATOR WARREN: I appreciate the thought, Sam, but I think we have our nominee.

BEE: Yeah, but he's not the President yet, and, until he is, God willing -- oh my God, I never thought I'd say this -- Congress is our best bet at helping America get through coronavirus, but they are currently all self-isolating.
