Russia to Supply Assad Regime With Advanced Air Defense System to Deter ‘Hotheads’

Russia plans to provide the Assad regime with advanced S300 air defense systems within weeks, a move designed to defend against Israeli air attacks but which could also have an impact on any future U.S. cruise missile strikes. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said the move “will cool some hot heads and keep them from ill-judged moves that could threaten our servicemen.”
