MSNBC’s Joy Reid jumped to attack Florida Governor Ron DeSantis after Axios fired a reporter who showed his disgust for the DeSantis administration. “There is a bullying aspect and a lot of trolling,” she asserted of those who work for DeSantis.
The Tampa-based journalist, Ben Montgomery, lamented on Reid’s MSNBC show: “I feel like what Axios did to me has a chilling effect on the entire news media. It’s a very sad thing.” Reid agreed: “Oh, it one hundred percent does! It does show that that bullying works. And that sends a message to every other journalist.”
