Professor Ihsanoglu, secretary general of the OIC was invited by the Gillard/Rudd Labor government to tour Australia and heal the locals from Islamophobia, as he was kind enough to do before in Washington and Europe.

His prescribed method is to criminalise freedom of speech when it comes to religions in general and Islamic sensitivities in particular; the good medicine straight from the sharia law book.

See if you can spot which bank sponsored the NPC event. Wouldn't be the same as the leading corporate advocate for sharia finance in Australia? The same bank who's former CEO has now moved on to bring good tidings to Australia Post - and who was designated by Kevin Rudd as Australia's special envoy to the OIC.

In this recording you will see the professor give a polite and rather meaningless dahwa talk, then answer polite and rather meaningless question with the usual dahwa phrasiology - until the very last question. This is the one in the whole piece which resembles the kind of question a journalist worth his salt would ask of this man.

Instead of giving a straight answer, the professor sidesteps the question by a seamile and then starts to build a big and tall strawman. And when you think he's finally done talking straw and may actually come back to to the point -  the ABC producers decide to cut out and roll the credits!

A remarkably sad piece of the pseudo-journalism we are being served now more often by our ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation).

Please do read Ida Lichter's comprehensive piece about the issues surrounding the Professor's global healing tour and the mission of the OIC in general at the HuffPost or The Australian.
