JORGE RAMOS: Adryana, why are you or Governor Abbott, or a judge or a court going to decide over a woman's body? Why do you want to impose yourselves on to other people's lives?
ADRYANA ALDEEN: Well, it's not that we want to decide, obviously we're talking...
RAMOS, INTERRUPTING: But in practice it is like this, Adryana. Why decide over a woman's body?
ALDEEN: Well, we're deciding over the body of a little woman or a little man or several little men or several little women inside the body of a woman. It's not deciding, it's just that it's a life, it's a beating heart. And then it is important that they know that there are other choices, and protecting the right to life of the unborn.
RAMOS: Do you think that this will be extended? That is, that the law in Texas will be extended to the remaining 49 states?
ALDEEN: Well, I understand that there are other states and other governors that have mentioned that they would like to follow these steps because they have really lost control of what it is. There are many other options and really, the thing is... there is a sort of unmasking what abortion really is, not only in Texas, but in the rest of the country- because it is a lucrative business for those organizations that provide this service. There are many other options. And here we are seeing that the right to life of these unborn is important, but they are not neglecting the fact that women feel the crisis they are going through, and that they need help. And that's why those other alternatives that exist for abortion are also being provided.
RAMOS, INTERRUPTING: Sorry Adryana, but many women don't know that they're pregnant at six weeks. That is what many find unfair and cruel. They don't know.
ALDEEN: The vast majority do know, Jorge. I believe this is a bad, unfounded rumor and you can really know, and they can verify whether or not they're pregnant before the six weeks if they know that there was a reason why they should be pregnant, Jorge.
