Obama Lifts Military's Homosexual Ban

Obama reversed the 1993 law (10, USC 654) that prohibited homosexuals from serving in the military and the 1993 Defense Department policy “don’t ask, don’t tell” (DADT). The latter prohibited military recruiters from asking about a soldier’s sexual preference and prohibited the soldier (or enlistee) from saying whether he is gay.
