President Obama said Wednesday he would determine in the coming days whether to extend the negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program beyond Sunday’s deadline, but also hinted that he would do so, saying “it’s clear to me that we have made real progress in several areas and that we have a credible way forward.” Late last year the administration had suggested that if a comprehensive final agreement was not reached by the July 20 deadline, it would support new sanctions against Tehran.
