Friday’s NBC Nightly News devoted a story to advancing the liberal narrative that efforts to ensure fair voting procedures are little more than racist moves to suppress the black vote. Reporter Cynthia McFadden tied the current situation to the civil rights struggles of the 1960s, focusing her story on the views of Reverend James Lawson who charged a decision by Texas Governor Greg Abbott “follows the plantation owners of the 1870s who used bullets and guns to stop the voting.”

Abbott’s murderous decision: To allow early voting drop off locations in every county, but only one per county. Un-mentioned by McFadden: Abbott expanded the state’s early voting period by six days.
