There's little doubt that Chris Matthews is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. He also seems to be, whether willful or not, dull of hearing, as evidenced on the Monday edition of Hardball.
In a segment on the September 22 program, MSNBC's Chris Matthews was informed by guest Carol Leonnig, a staff writer for the Washington Post, that Friday's White House fence-jumper, Omar Gonzalez, was found to have been carrying a serrated knife on his person, not a switchblade as Mr. Matthews believed.
