[See NewsBusters for more.] On Friday’s edition of The 11th Hour on MSNBC, host Chris Jansing theorized that the reason why Republicans are hyping Special Counsel John Durham’s latest filing is because Republicans want to fire up their base and raise money.
Addressing the Lincoln Project’s Stuart Stevens, Jansing wondered, “after days of wall-to-wall conspiracy theories that a filing by Special Counsel John Durham, was somehow proof of Hillary Clinton's spying on Trump. Durham poured cold water on the narrative. He called it ‘misinterpreted.’ I wonder if this is a story outside of right-wing media, and even if it isn't, is it the kind of story that keeps the base fired up, and the GOP wants a fired up base, obviously?”
