Minnesota DOT: Must Remove American Flags from Bridges

Members of the Palmer Lake VFW, who have posted American flags on the town's overpasses for the past eight years, are now being told by the Minnesota Department of Transportation that it is against the law. 

According to the DOT, allowing the American flag to fly could lead to allowing the Iraqi flag to fly. Later the MN DOT used the pursuit of motorists safety as their justification for prohibiting the stars and stripes.
