Miami Police Chief Art Acevedo, president of the Major Cities Police Association, told CBS’s “Face the Nation” on Sunday that violent crime is on the uptick in major cities because the court system is shut down and also because politicians have “fallen in love with criminal justice reform” and forgot how violent cities used to be.
