Matthews Hits Gen. George Casey for 'Concerns' On Repeal of 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell'

On the February 23 "Hardball," host Chris Matthews hit Army General George Casey for his "concerns" about lifting the "don't ask, don't tell" (DADT) policy and allowing openly gay persons to serve in uniform. Later, Matthews said he believed most Americans don't want soldiers to lie under oath about being gay, although that's not what DADT mandates now.
