On November 15, Martin Bashir blasted comments by Sarah Palin on slavery and suggested that someone should "s-h-i-t in her mouth." Three days later, on November 18, he profusely apologized and insisted that, those comments aside, he usually tries to "elevate political discourse." Quite simply, that isn't true. Whether it's comparing the NRA to genocidal murderer Adolf Hitler, Rick Santorum to dictator Rick Santorum or Florida Governor Rick Scott to communist killer Nicolae Ceausescu, Bashir frequently lowers the debate into the gutter.
