The lack of protection for many archaeological sites throughout Egypt, after the Egyptian revolution, has caused an increase in the looting and robbery of Egypt's most ancient and treasured artifacts.
"People are throwing mummies out of the ground and throwing them in the desert," says U.C. Berkeley archaeologist Carol Redmount.
It's not the looting that's the most damaging, it's illegal building near the oldest pyramid in Egypt.
