[See NewsBusters for more.] CNN's Inside Politics host John King appeared to realize on Tuesday that the Democrats' "voting rights" bill that Republicans oppose is actually just a way for them to blunt current Republican advantages such as state legislatures being able to draw congressional boundaries. Unfortunately, King did not take this to its logical conclusion as he continued to portray the bill as necessary to fight back against alleged GOP-led voter suppression schemes.
King began the show by previewing what was to come later in the hour, including, "today's big test vote in the United States Senate. Voting rights is a critical piece of the Biden and Democratic Party agenda, even more so now that Republicans from coast to coast are moving to make it harder to vote."
