Kerry Hints At U-Turn on Iran’s Need to Disclose Past Nuclear/Military Activities

Secretary of State John Kerry said Tuesday that the countries negotiating a nuclear agreement with Iran are “not fixated on Iran specifically accounting for” illicit nuclear work it is suspected to have carried out in the past. But 16 months ago, his lead negotiator in the talks assured lawmakers that Iran would have to come clean on both “past and present” issues of concern.
