Talking about the Roseanne revival on Thursday’s The View, Behar dismissed Donald Trump as an “attention whore.” Yet, she also (shockingly) thanked Trump for boosting The View’s own ratings. She immediately suffered a backlash from liberal co-host Whoopi Goldberg Behar mocked: “[Trump] called Roseanne to congratulate her because he’s a ratings whore.”Talking about the sky high ratings for the revival of the working class comedy, she prefaced: “You know, he may be lousy for women, immigrants and the economy maybe, we'll see. But he's really good for TV. Our numbers are up too.”
