On Wednesday night, Fox News host Tucker Carlson exposed media hypocrisy when it comes to whistle-blowers. After noting that "CNN, Democrats, and the rest of Washington" agree that "the Ukraine whistle-blower is a hero...doing a vital service this country," Carlson pointed out that "we have whistle-blowers here (in Washington) and they're almost always ignored and mistreated by the people in power. All the cool kids look down on real whistle-blowers." Carlson proceeded to interview whistle-blower John Kiriakou, who did not receive the same favorable treatment from the media enjoyed by the Ukraine whistle-blower. In fact, Kiriakou "went to prison for 23 months" for making "allegations that were true." Kiriakou noted that "the same people...that attacked me are attacking the President. Robert Mueller set up the John Kiriakou Task Force at the FBI, John Brennan petitioned Attorney General Holder to charge me with five felonies including three counts of espionage." Carlson asked Kiriakou if CNN and MSNBC came to his defense, to which he replied: "Only Fox came to my defense...MSNBC never called me a whistle-blower. They called me 'CIA leaker.'" As for CNN, it took them a year to start referring to him as a whistle-blower. Carlson predicted the fate of the Ukraine whistle-blower celebrated by the media: "I don't think there's any chance this person is going to do almost two years in prison."
