Flashback: Charlie Rose Lectures on Importance of ‘Respect for Women’

[See NewsBusters for more.] CBS on Tuesday fired Charlie Rose in the wake of revelations that he allegedly sexually harassed multiple women for decades. In retrospect, his repeated claims of “respecting” and “appreciating” strong women ring particularly hollow. On September 10, 2017, the 60 Minutes journalist grilled former ex-Donald Trump aide Steve Bannon about the infamous Billy Bush tape. Said Rose, the man who groped women, made lewd phone calls and walked around naked: “But [people] do care about respect for women.” Speaking of someone other than himself, he chided, “And it’s not just locker room talk.”
