After halftime of the Mueller hearings on Wednesday, it was the House Intelligence Committee's turn to take the stage in questioning the former FBI Special Counsel concerning the Mueller Report into possible Russian interference in the 2016 election.

When it became House Intel Ranking Member Rep. Devin Nunes' (R-Calif.) turn to make his opening statements at the beginning of the hearing, Nunes, at one point, compared what he called the "Russia collusion conspiracy theory" to the "Loch Ness Monster."

"Brazenly ignoring all these red flags, as well as the transparent absurdity of the claims they are making, the Democrats have argued for nearly three years that evidence of collusion is hidden just around the corner," Nunes said. "Like the Loch Ness Monster, they insist it's there even if no one can find it."
