During Thursday’s Good Morning America, ABC aired co-host and former Clinton official George Stephanopoulos grilling Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Russia’s merciless war against the innocent people of Ukraine and the Vladimir Putin regime’s lies about the invasion and their ugly lies about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy being a neo-Nazi.
Stephanopoulos spoke with Lavrov in a press event featuring other English-speaking journalists and, with only two questions, Stephanopoulos made them count, starting with this hardball:
The world is seeing civilians being killed in Ukraine by Russian bombs. The world is hearing the lies Russia’s telling about those attacks. The world is uniting to contend those attacks and those lies. How can you defend them?
