December 13, 2011 was an interesting day on the floor of the House of Representatives.
That morning Rep. Paul Tonko (D-N.Y.) decided to take the floor and recite his political parody of ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas’.
A strange thing to do, certainly, but it wasn’t the only odd moment on the House floor. I take this opportunity to gather several moments from the House floor that day and combine them into poetry, to challenge Rep. Tonko to a poetry showdown of sorts.
