Defense Secretary Ashton Carter said at the Pentagon Friday he envisages more Special Forces raids in Iraq in the future like the one on an ISIS-run prison, but said that that “doesn’t represent us assuming a combat role.” Later in the same briefing, in reference to the raid that cost an American soldier’s life, he said, “This is combat – things are complicated.”
