CNN anchor Rick Sanchez shocked his colleague Kyra Phillips on the 26 October 2009 edition of Newsroom when he stated that he agreed with a hotel owner in New Mexico who had asked his Latino employee to Anglicize his name. Phillips and Jane Velez-Mitchell from Headline News had slammed the owner earlier in the hour for his request.
