Interviewing former Democratic D.C. Mayor Marion Barry, who had been convicted and served time in jail on drug charges, CNN's Fredricka Whitfield brought up his past in quite generious fashion.

She asked Barry "does it frustrate you" that "forever there's always going to be that association with that drug bust in 1990." She also noted that "you've done a lot in the city" and asked him to frame it around his "rebound" and "resilience."
