Wednesday afternoon’s CNN News Central chose to show it hasn’t learned a thing when it comes to joining the majority of Americans in wanting to deport illegal immigrants en masse as, during an interview of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, co-host Boris Sanchez worried about a lack of “due process” and “protections” under the Laken Riley Act and that they could be victims of “racial profiling.”

Riley, Rachel Morin, and Jocelyn Nungaray were unavailable for comment to Sanchez on whether they too were afforded “due process” and “protections” when they were murdered.

Sanchez began with a single question about the plan to house illegal immigrants at Guantanamo Bay before the hard pivot to Riley after Noem insisted the focus Wednesday should be on Riley and the law in her name.

Sanchez concurred, but instead chose to express concern for illegal aliens: “[W]hat protections does this law have in place to protect folks who may have entered the country illegally, but have since obtained permission to stay temporarily?”
