CNN's Soledad O'Brien gave credibility to former Democratic President Jimmy Carter saying Newt Gingrich has a "subtlety of racism" about him. Instead of questioning Carter's words as a smear, O'Brien used the quote as a springboard to ask if Gingrich's words on the campaign trail carry a "racial coating."
