Nearly a year after telling Joy Behar that the FBI did not spy on the Trump campaign, former Director of National Intelligence Clapper told CNN's Alisyn Camerota "I can't speak, specifically...to what the FBI did." Based on his appearance on The View, it seemed like Clapper had extensive knowledge of the FBI's behavior in counterintelligence investigations related to the 2016 Presidential Election yet he either played dumb or developed a case of amnesia during his interview with Camerota; which took place in the wake of Attorney General William Barr declaring that "spying did occur" on the Trump campaign during the 2016 campaign.
